How we think

The moment you don't
see coming is the
one you keep.

We design sequences of illuminated drone formations set to music. The design starts with your event: what you want to show, who will be watching and where it will happen.

We develop the images, transitions and soundtrack together, so the show has a beginning, a progression and an ending.

How we fly

Safety leads
every call we make.

Every Salish Skies show is planned around applicable Transport Canada requirements, the site, the weather and the insurance arranged for that operation.

The practical part

Every show starts with the site.

We assess where your audience will watch, the space needed for safe separation, and where drones can launch and fly. The layout is agreed for each site.

Concept: a coastal event site with an audience viewing lawn on the left, empty separation space in the centre, and a drone launch grid and flight area on the right. Concept, not to scale

How we operate

A different kind of night-sky celebration.

  • EV-powered equipment

Ground-show production equipment draws power directly from an electric vehicle.

  • Reusable aircraft

Our drones are maintained and flown again for future shows.

  • No pyrotechnics

Standalone drone displays use no fireworks or pyrotechnics, and produce no burning debris.

  • A different sound profile

A quieter alternative to fireworks, without explosive reports.

Site and scheduling reviews account for surrounding habitat, wildlife activity, sensitive areas and local restrictions.

What goes into planning?

From first conversation
to show night.

We work through the creative, the site and the details with your event team, so everyone knows what to expect.

Shows generally run up to 15 minutes, with the length shaped around the occasion and the creative idea.

Design options include existing formations, adaptations and new creative work. We agree the scope after reviewing the event and site.

  1. Your event

Tell us about the occasion, the location and what you have in mind.

  2. The site

We assess launch space, audience views, access and operating requirements.

  3. The creative

We develop the concept and proposal, with the show’s scope and responsibilities.

  4. Show night

We coordinate timing, weather decisions and the operating plan with your team.

Event inquiry

Tell us what you have in mind.

We’ll review your date and location, then reply to discuss site suitability and what we need for a proposal.

Event inquiry. Name and email are all we need to reply. The rest just helps us prepare.

A rough idea is welcome, but you can leave this blank.

We use the information you provide only to respond to your inquiry. It is sent through Formspree, our form service, and is not used for unrelated marketing. Privacy
