Why Salish Skies

Vancouver Island has no shortage of beautiful places, vibrant communities, and events worth celebrating. Salish Skies was created to bring something new to those occasions: drone light shows that are accessible to communities of all sizes, not just the largest festivals or biggest budgets.

We’re building a local fleet and crew to make these experiences a more familiar part of the Island’s event landscape. Our drone shows offer a quieter alternative to traditional fireworks, giving organizers another way to create memorable nighttime celebrations.

Our creative inspiration comes from the places and people around us. The coastline, mountains, wildlife, and changing seasons offer endless possibilities, alongside the stories and traditions that give each community its character. Every event is different, and we want our shows to reflect that. Whether it’s a waterfront festival, a community celebration, or a wedding, our approach is to create something that feels at home in its setting, with music, light, and movement working together to bring it to life.

What excites us most is the experience of bringing people together. There’s something special about a crowd looking up at the night sky, sharing a moment of wonder that none of them quite expected. We want our shows to become part of the occasions people look forward to each year, the memories families share, and the stories they tell long after the evening ends.

Memories that outlast the light.
